Mixed Martial Arts or MMA has become the fastest-growing sport in the world. It is a full-contact sport incorporating different martial art techniques and skills that includes varieties of punches, kicks, takedowns, chokes, joint locks, elbows, knee from various combat sports from around the world such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Judo, Karate, Muay Thai, Boxing, Taekwondo, Kickboxing, and more.
There are 3 main components that the sport uses: a combination of striking, grappling, and ground fighting that make it such a diverse and dynamic combat sport and martial art experience. MMA fights usually take place in a cage or fenced area. The match continues until one of the contenders is either knocked out, declared TKO by the referee, or submitted. Otherwise, it goes to the judges' scorecard.
